Liverpool 2 - Arsenal 2
Woke up really early this morning to catch the 'live' match between Liverpool and Arsenal. Early is an understatement as I had to wake up at 3.55am. Was still half asleep as I roused myself for the match. A short commentary on the match. Liverpool started brightly in the first 5 mins, but were stunned by a quick and incisive attack by the Gunners. It was 1-0 to Arsenal by the 8th minute. I groaned as I thought this is another match where the ignorance of sleep would be sweeter than to watch in agony as my favourite is being torned apart by its arch-foe.
Well, Liverpool came out of the second-half all fired-up and ready to do battle. They did just that and John Arne Riise scored with a scorcher in the 53rd min. Seaman was stranded like a sailor on land, pardon me for the pun. Arsenal broke my heart again in the 63rd min after Bergkamp scored off a deflection on Henchoz. Guess that was payback for the handball that Liverpool handed to Arsenal in the 2001 FA Cup Final. But Heskey had the last say when his bullet of a header sent the Gunners packing home with a single point in the 90th minute.
Ok. Now about my life. Caught Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers last Sunday. Was all hyped-up for the movie since I am a true blue fantasy fan. After The Fellowship of the Ring, I expected Peter Jackson to once again capture my attention to fine details and breathetaking cinematography. I am to be sorely disappointed. Two Towers is not a bad film, but I can't help by fail that it failed to live up to its full potential. Well, I could be wrong as I could not catch some parts of the dialogue. I am sure the DVD would help when it is released. Hope that The Return of the King will once again break new ground as the Fellowship did.
