Day 2

The Weekend and Me!

The glorious weekend is once upon us! This gives me the perfect opportunity to disengage myself from the ratrace and ridiculous things that people do for office politics. Talking about ratrace, did I tell you that I have recently bought 2 drawf hamsters? To be precise, they are Roborovskis, the tiniest hamsters among the drawf family. Cute is their middle name! Scurrying around the cage is their favourite hobby after running on the exercise wheel. Looking at their frenzied activity everyday, I always wondered if they are as active in the wild or are they just bored? I will tell you the answer once more research is done. :)

Weekends used to be a dreary affair for me. All my buddies (gals + guys) will disappear once the weekend arrives. This is known as the social phenomenon of relationship aka coupledom. Good ole me was unattached for long stretches of my life. Don't get me wrong, I was happy being single and what not. But the weekends are a bore when you are stuck at home. So, if you don't want to be like me, do choose your friends carefully. Choose those that are unattached! But well, life has been kind to me, I am happily attached with the most wonderful girl! So, its my turn to rejects outings with my unattached friends (luckily... there's only 1 of them!)

Think I will pop in the Aliens DVD into my player later and enjoy my all time favourite movie. GO RIPLEY!!!

Day 1

All About Me (Who Am I?)

Hi there! This is my first time writing about myself on the net. Why did I call this log the "Singaporean Dream"? Well, the answer is simple. I want to share with everyone on this world about the life and the dreams of a very ordinary Singaporean, living an ordinary life, with ordinary aspirations (well some say lofty) in the very ordinary city-state of Singapore.

Something more about the author, that's me! I am a twentysomething year-old Chinese guy (who like the most of the 20-somethings - afraid of the big Three-O) who has lived all his 20 plus years on the small island state of Singapore. If you have no idea of where Singapore is, look along the equator of the map (yup, it's the small island south of our 'friendly' neighbour Malaysia), cos' it is smacked almost directly under the path of the sun. This also explains the hot and humid weather we experience on a more or less daily basis. Global warming ain't gonna help things.

(Looks out the window of my office) Yup, its hot alright! Okay, gotta go, will see you here again yah!
